What if we live in an age of world war 2? That question crossed my mind when I read the synopsis of this book. Imagine how difficult life was in that time. Where there was no freedom anymore.

I love the storyline of this book that combine romance with historical fiction. This book is a short historical fiction in the form of diary by Lee Strauss. So the plot is so easy to understand. Definitely it's worth to read.

This is the diary of Katharina Ackerman, a 12 year girl who living in Passau, Germany during the Nazi regime (1941-1944). But the whole diary tells Katharina's love story with Emil, one of her brother's friend. One day, Katharina, her brother, and two of her brother's friends secretly listen to the BBC radio broadcasts on a shortwave radio.They found something different than the German radio broadcasts.
